It’s the quiet time after the holiday purchasing season and the other midwinter festivals, some lazy people still have their holiday decorations up
But in the guildhall, It’s mid morning everyone is enjoying tea, scones, hot cider, ale, wine, bread, cheese, whatever you like in Mae Lillydag’s shoppe. Conversation bounces around from topic to topic – The gnome that was rescued who has the wound that still won’t heal, the more frequent reports of the menacing insectoid creature (Olthoi) that seem to be moving down from the mountains and attacking more and more civilized areas, whether or not Sao will ever go on a date with Mouse….
At some point Elias comes out of the conference room where he does much of his administrative work and he motions to you all – “Come in for a second, there’s someone I want you to meet”. Once inside you notice a couple of new folks in the room – what appears to be an earthy little Gnome and a fierce looking Elf. On the far side of the big table is a massive humanoid that some of you recognize as a Lugian
Introducing Mina and Malvolio…
After the introductions, ELias says, “Now, there is someone else I would like you to meet. Everyone, this is Thalgar Stonbinder”
Thalgar Stonebinder
Appearance: A weathered Lugian with cracks in his stone-like skin and an intricately carved staff. His eyes glow faintly with earth-magic energy.
Personality: Wise and patient, but weary. His age and vision for unity make him both respected and scorned within Lugian society. Believes that only through unity with other species (like Isparians and Tumeroks) can Dereth withstand the growing Olthoi threat.
Opposition: Traditionalist Lugians fiercely oppose this plan, seeing it as a betrayal of their heritage. Thalgar has been ostracized or is under constant surveillance, preventing him from acting directly.

This relic is essential to theour ongoing war effort against the Olthoi. With its power, we could forge a united front against the Olthoi. Yet, my people see this unity as betrayal. I cannot go retrieve the item myself myself, for my presence would spark war among my kin. You must go in my stead, for only outsiders can wield the neutrality this task demands.”
