Phandelver 2 - Cragmaw Hideout

The party rescues a Goblin that they doomed, rescues Sildar, eats some poop, and heads to Phandalin

Events

  • After looting the Bugbear, Klarg, the party discovers a human being held prisoner. Tookit stealths and assassinates a guard but doesn’t see a couple others – they kill the guards, then discover the prisoner is Sildar Hallwinter, Gundren Rockseeker’s friend
  • Sildar says Klarg was ordered by the Black Spider to capture the “Diggy Dwarf”
  • They also discover stolen goods bearing the insignia of merchants from Phandalin
  • They also discover some dried Goblin poop granola, and seem to like it
  • After a couple of skirmishes on the way out they exit the camp, collect their Hedd’s horse and prepare to continue thier journey to Phandalin
  • Sildar gets huffy and walks off, then returns and offers 60GP for an escort
  • They take pity on the Goblin that they previously tied to a tree and decide to briong him along. He is bleeding out his eyes and in pain
  • Ernault pays Schmuckluck 50 cp and gives him a dagger to use. Schmuckluck feels loyal to Ernault, but hates Olwë
  • After some time, the party makes it to Phandalin, secures rooms (5sp/night) and quickly runs afoul of some local thugs, the Redbrands after they tried to rob the party’s wagon. Much blood is spilled, with Schmuckluck (the new Goblin companion) doing an exemplary job (then trying to bite Olwë)
